My Class Binder

I like using binders at my classes.  Not only does this give my guests something to write on, but by adding sheet protectors it allows me to include things they can look at but not take home which reduces printing costs.

I take 8 binders to each class.  One for me and seven for the guests.  If I have more than 7 guests, they share binders.  To make these binders, you will need:
  • Eight 1/2 inch binders.  Buy them through that link or at office depot etc.
  • One 50 count pack of sheet protectors.
  • Seven business cards
  • Various Materials from THRIVE Life (listed below)

Guest Binder Instructions:

Front Cover:  Smart Start Flyer Page #1

I love having this as my front cover b/c it is the #1 way I recommend  getting people started with THRIVE.  The best part is all the yummy pictures of prepared food.  It helps people realize this is real food that they can use to make really tasty meals.  And by having it on the front cover, they are thinking about using the Smart Start from the moment we get started.  I refer to it later in my presentation and it is really nice to have all the info handy.

  • You can find this in your back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - THRIVE - Flyer Smart Start 200 Pack, or just click here.  Print both pages once (I will tell you why later) and then just the 1st page for the rest of your binders.

Front Pocket:  Order Form, Thrive Shopping List,  Thrive Quiz

I print the shopping list and a "Food For Thought" worksheet I created on the same page (one on each side).  Then I put that paper (Food for Thought side up) on top of the order form in the front pocket.  The worksheet is the very first thing I have guests pull out during my class.

I like the Food For Thought worksheet because it gets people thinking about how THRIVE can help them in their lives right from the very start...before I even start teaching them about it.

I like the shopping list b/c it gets people thinking about exactly which THRIVE foods will work best for them.  I recommend the Smart Start as the #1 way to get started with
THRIVE b/c it is a continuation of the class, but if they choose not to go with the Smart Start then having this list helps them (and me) quickly know what to include in their first few Q shipments or their first order.

  • You can find the order form in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Party Prep - Customer Order Form or by clicking here.
  • The Food For Thought worksheet is not available in the back office because it is something I created.  You can download it by clicking here.
  • You can find the Shopping List in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Party Prep - THRIVE Shopping List or by clicking here.

On the 3 rings:

#1: The Q Brochure in Sheet Protector

Similar to having the Smart Start on the front cover, I like having this as my first page b/c it introduces them to the Q from the get go.  I want them thinking about that all during the class.  I put both pages in one sheet protector, but I actually put the 2nd page first so it is easy for them to find when I refer to it during my presentation.

  • You can find The Q Brochure in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Marketing - Brochure - The Q or by clicking here.  Remember to type your contact info into the bottom of the form before your print it!

#2: Sale: Monthly Specials & 2nd Page of Event Pricing Brochure in sheet protector

People love sales and specials so I like to make sure I highlight those for them somewhere in my binder.  Sometimes during my presentation I will tell them how I use / why I like one or two of the items on special and it is great for them to be able to refer to these while I talk.

The 2nd page of the event pricing shows our food rotation systems which I don't really mention much during my presentation.  But these are popular and very well known so I like having a picture to remind people that they can order those through me as well.

  • You can find the Monthly Specials in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Price Lists - Flyer: {Name of Current Month} Specials.
  • You can find the Events Flyer in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Price Lists - Flyer: Events Flyer or by clicking here.  Print both pages even though you will only use one here.  (You will use the first page later).  Remember to type your contact info into the bottom of the form before your print it!

#3.  Full Current Price List in sheet protector

I like to have this for them to reference when filling out their order form.  But I keep it in a sheet protector to communicate that I don't want them to take it home.  I send around a sign up sheet where they can give me their name / email so I can email them a price list and catalog.  But I've found it to just be too expensive to let everyone take one home.

  • You can find the full current price list in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Price Lists - Price List {Season} Home Parties Continental US.

Back Pocket:  Consultant Kits Brochure  & My Business Card
I do not keep the Consultant Kits brochure in a sheet protector b/c I want them to be able to take it home if they are interested in it.  I also like to have them take it out and look at it when I talk about consulting during my presentation.

I tape my business card to the front of the back pocket here just as 1 additional way to make sure they have my contact info.

      • You can find the Consultant Kits Brochure in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Marketing - Flyer: Updated Starter Kits

Back Cover: 1st Page of Event Brochure

During my presentation, I mention that there are three ways to buy THRIVE at its lowest price.  This flyer highlight those three ways perfectly and I like having it on the back cover for quick and easy access.
      • You should have printed this earlier, but just in case you can find the Events Flyer in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Price Lists - Flyer: Events Flyer or by clicking here.
So that completes my guest binders!

      My Binder Instructions:

Here is what I keep in my own binder.  These are all items that help me answer commonly asked questions, but aren't needed for each and every guest.
      • A current price list
      •  An Addendum.  You can find this in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - Price Lists - Price List {Month} Addendum
      • A Thrive Product Detail Document This shows all allergen, GMO, msg, gluten, artificial color & flavor info as well as sizes available and shelf life.  You can find this in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - THRIVE - Thrive Product Details or by clicking here.
      • Packages Detail Document.  The price list will tell you the prices of the various packages we offer, but not the contents of each package.  You can reference this document for that.  Find it in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials -Party Prep - Packages or by clicking here.
      • Smart Start Ingredients.  This is the 2nd page of the flyer you printed for the cover of your guest binders.  It lists all the food they get as part of the Smart Start (remember these are all pantry can sizes).  You should have printed one of the flyer while creating your guest binders, but just in case, you can find it in the back office under Tools - Consultant Materials - THRIVE - Flyer Smart Start 200 Pack.
      • Smart Start Recipe book.   I love having this recipe book b/c it allows me to show guests just what they will be making on the Smart Start program.   The recipe book must be ordered, it cannot be printed.  It is item #1260 and only costs $8 so I suggest you add it to another order you will be placing anyway so as to avoid a 2nd shipping cost.

      2 "success" indicators

I had one of you ask me yesterday if I could tell when I enrolled someone if they would be successful or not.  I thought answering the question here would be a good followup to my last post on "success."

My answer is "Yes, and No."

Helping Your Host with her Invitations

      I'm back!

So sorry for the lack of posts here lately.  The videos have consumed me.  I'm ready to get going again though, so make sure you check back often for new posts (likely 3-5 each week)

I got an excellent question recently that is not covered in the new training videos, so I thought I'd post it here.
Most of you likely know how to send out evites (electronic invitations) through your back office.  You can send evites there for your hosts.  However, if you do, they will look like they are coming from you.  If I were to send an evite for my host, Jane, it would say: "Misty Marsh invites you to...." instead of "Jane invites you to...."  You need to be able to help your host send her own evites.  So, here is a step by step "pictorial" for how to do just that!

      A few notes first:
      • These evites are great!  The images and links to the website and THRIVE planner are wonderful to have as part of an invitation that people receive.  It also allows people to rsvp right from their email which is nice as well.
      • Sometime these end up in junk mail.  So, I recommend to each of my hosts, that they personally send a quick email directly from their email address to each person letting them know to look for this invitation.  Something like this:
Hi!  I will soon be hosting a Shelf Reliance taste-testing event, and I'd love for you to come.  I've just sent you an invitation.  I want to be sure you get it b/c occasionally they end up in junk mail.  If you don't see it yet, check your junk mail.  It is a great invitation with lots of information about just what a Shelf Reliance party is all about.  I'm excited to see you at my taste-testing next Friday!

      Okay, on to the "pictorial:"

      Step #1: Go to shelfreliance.com

Step #2: Scroll down and click on home parties

Step #3: Click on "Consultant Log-in (Hosts log in here too)"

Step #4: Have your host log-in using their email and password.

Step #5: Hover over "My Business" at the top and click on "host"

Step#6: Click on the name of the party

Step #7: Enter address, a personalized note and each guest's name and email address.
Note: If you need to add more email addresses, click on the plus next to last email address listed.

Step #8: Scroll down and click on "Save"

Step #9: Double check that everything looks correct and that all your guests are listed at the bottom under "not invited."

Step #10: Click on "Send an Invite"

Step #11: Double check to see if all your guests are now listed under "not responded."

That is it!  Now, all your host's guests have receive an invitation!  Make sure to email them so they know to look for it!  As they rsvp, they will change from "not responded" to "yes," "no," or "maybe"

ps....the instructions for sending out your own evites are the same for most steps. You will be able to skip step #5 b/c you should go strait to the "back office."  Once there, click on "events" on the left and then follow the steps from #6 on.
