Helping Your Host with her Invitations

I'm back!

So sorry for the lack of posts here lately.  The videos have consumed me.  I'm ready to get going again though, so make sure you check back often for new posts (likely 3-5 each week)

I got an excellent question recently that is not covered in the new training videos, so I thought I'd post it here.
Most of you likely know how to send out evites (electronic invitations) through your back office.  You can send evites there for your hosts.  However, if you do, they will look like they are coming from you.  If I were to send an evite for my host, Jane, it would say: "Misty Marsh invites you to...." instead of "Jane invites you to...."  You need to be able to help your host send her own evites.  So, here is a step by step "pictorial" for how to do just that!

A few notes first:
  • These evites are great!  The images and links to the website and THRIVE planner are wonderful to have as part of an invitation that people receive.  It also allows people to rsvp right from their email which is nice as well.
  • Sometime these end up in junk mail.  So, I recommend to each of my hosts, that they personally send a quick email directly from their email address to each person letting them know to look for this invitation.  Something like this:
Hi!  I will soon be hosting a Shelf Reliance taste-testing event, and I'd love for you to come.  I've just sent you an invitation.  I want to be sure you get it b/c occasionally they end up in junk mail.  If you don't see it yet, check your junk mail.  It is a great invitation with lots of information about just what a Shelf Reliance party is all about.  I'm excited to see you at my taste-testing next Friday!

Okay, on to the "pictorial:"

Step #1: Go to shelfreliance.com

Step #2: Scroll down and click on home parties

Step #3: Click on "Consultant Log-in (Hosts log in here too)"

Step #4: Have your host log-in using their email and password.

Step #5: Hover over "My Business" at the top and click on "host"

Step#6: Click on the name of the party

Step #7: Enter address, a personalized note and each guest's name and email address.
Note: If you need to add more email addresses, click on the plus next to last email address listed.

Step #8: Scroll down and click on "Save"

Step #9: Double check that everything looks correct and that all your guests are listed at the bottom under "not invited."

Step #10: Click on "Send an Invite"

Step #11: Double check to see if all your guests are now listed under "not responded."

That is it!  Now, all your host's guests have receive an invitation!  Make sure to email them so they know to look for it!  As they rsvp, they will change from "not responded" to "yes," "no," or "maybe"

ps....the instructions for sending out your own evites are the same for most steps. You will be able to skip step #5 b/c you should go strait to the "back office."  Once there, click on "events" on the left and then follow the steps from #6 on.
